Our Story
This photo on our Caribbean cruise is one of the very few vacations we have taken as a couple. JUST a couple.
We usually travel in a pack with our family, friends, or both, when we go on vacation. Is it planned that way? Sometimes. Most times, it just happens as word gets out that we’re going somewhere fun. We love it though! We have very busy day-to-day schedules, so traveling with others gives us a chance to reconnect with our people, away from it all.
Getting together with them, while experiencing a new culture, sharing delicious meals, and lots of laughter are good medicine for our souls.

Originally from the San Diego area, I have lived in Oregon’s Willamette Valley for over 25 years. I have served in the Oregon National Guard for close to 10 years, while working as an emergency services dispatcher since 1999. Since our kids have grown, Journey Scapes Travel was created in 2017, out of a love for personal travel and wanting to bring similar experiences to others.
When not working, you can find us with family and friends, enjoying a tasty meal together, exploring on our motorcycles, or working on the intricacies of golf.
Travel is always changing and even more so in the last couple years. Having over two decades of experience in emergency service dispatching, I am sensitive to health and safety concerns clients may have while traveling. Keeping it stress-free for you is a priority.

The chief planner for Journey Scapes Travel. I love a good adventure with family and friends. My travel bucket list continues to grow! Some of the items on it: seeing the penguins in Antarctica, viewing the Northern Lights, sampling my way through the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, getting my golf game up to par for the links in Scotland.
David
The glue that holds Lara together. Dave keeps track of industry news and trends, that change frequently. When he isn't traveling in his free time, he enjoys working on projects around the house, golfing, cooking, and an occasional Xbox game. While he loves travel, cruising is his favorite method and he has his eye set on a World Cruise one day.
